Rural Tourism in Oxford County

by admin last modified 2011-06-14 14:44

We are located on the edge of three counties--Elgin, Norfolk and Oxford--and there are many daytripping opportunities from Hawthorn Valley Farm. The tri-county attractions can be perused at the county websites:

Want to play the best of golf with southwest Ontario green fees? Here's a sample:

Looking for a day of sun and fun? A 30-minute drive and you’re at Norfolk and Elgin counties’ very own “South Coast” beaches with loads of provincial and private parks, wind farms and conservation areas.

South Coast Charters offers a wide range of fishing experiences located in Long Point Bay and Port Burwell, Ontario. This fully licensed and insured charter service aims to suit many types of anglers -- from those looking for a fun fishing experience to the more dedicated types in search of new fishing techniques. South Coast Charters targets Northern Pike in the Spring and Fall in Long Point Bay, then moves to Port Burwell for Jumbo Perch before the excellent Walleye and Steelhead fishing begins in July.

Right on our doorstep is Tillsonburg’s Water Park for small fry and family.

Agritourism opportunities abound. Not only are we in the centre of Ontario’s agricultural heartland, we are surrounded by small niche farms ranging from Amish vegetable farms to local artisan cheese and wine makers.

Theatre lovers are only 45 minutes from Stratford and London as well as several summer theatre productions in nearby communities. Check out local museums and artisan shops within a short driving distance.

We are always happy to offer our assistance in planning your holiday!
